About Me
I
was born and raised in New York City, in a traditional Italian family. I started working with tile in New York City. In 1982 I moved to the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, which is where I started, “JC CUTOM TILE DESIGN”. I had a successful tile business there for 15 years. It was also in the mountains where I started sculpting and cutting tile murals and designs. At first, I only cut custom designs for my customers. If there was something a customer couldn’t find commercially, I would fabricate it on my own. Eventually this led me to begin designing custom tile murals.
I moved to Satellite Beach Florida in 1998. I changed my business name to “JOSEPH CAPUTO CUSTOM TILE DESIGN”. Currently I am certified, licensed, and insured in the state of Florida under that title. I have had a successful tile contracting business for over 25 years. Needless to say, in 25 years I have come across all situations and conditions for tile installations. I consider myself an expert, and stand behind my all of my work.
I have always been an aspiring artist. Drawing when I was young, sculpting gemstones and designing and cutting tile murals. I have been focusing strictly on tile murals for quite some time now. This is my passion and I look forward to sharing it with you.
